FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR

Glen McEntire

With a law enforcement career stretching back to January 15, 1976, Range Master Glen McEntire taught for The Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training beginning December 1, 1983. He accepted appointment as the Firearms Training Coordinator for CLEET in 1985. Mr. McEntire studied under most of the great firearms teachers of our time. He attended Jeff Cooper’s prestigious American Pistol Institute in 1984, 1985, and 1989. In 1989, he attended the 499 or Special Pistol Course where he earned the coveted “Expert Certificate” from Colonel Cooper. Mr. McEntire also trained with Bill Chapman of the Chapman Academy and Maasad Ayoob of the Lethal Force Institute. He received rifle training from Chuck Julian, retired Marine and world famous instructor with the National Rifle Association. Mr. McEntire holds “Master Shooter” rating with the NRA.

Mr. McEntire accepted the challenging responsibility to research and develop CLEET's basic academy firearms program. Then, he conducted approximately 220 basic academies in more than 22 years of service. CLEET’s Firearms Instructor's program ran 226 training hours in length, and he considers it one of his best accomplishments. He conducted these schools for the 22 years he was with CLEET, along with numerous Rifle and Long Range Rifle Schools. Mr. McEntire retired from his law enforcement career in May 1, 2006, and assumed the responsibilities as Range Master of the North American Shooting Academy.

The Law Offices of Doug Friesen, P.C. Since 1987, when he opened the door as a solo practicing attorney in Oklahoma, the office has grown in clientele as well as staff. Areas of the practice include: domestic, criminal, and civil litigation. He has audited and passed the firearms instructors schools for all of the various firearms in use in the State of Oklahoma by law enforcement. Over the past few years he has purchased two franchises in the field of law. Oklahoma Traffic Tickets is an on-line based company that assist with traffic tickets for individuals all over the state. This on-line based company is available 24 hours a day for the individual that is "always on the road." Law Tigers is a motorcycle oriented franchise that assists all motorcycle riders in motorcycle related injures. Law Tigers is a national network of motorcycle lawyers who handle personal injury and wrongful death claims in behalf of motorcycle riders. Law Tigers offers free legal advice to motorcycle related injuries, free bail bond assistance and is available 24 hours a day.

Doug Friesen gives approximately seventy-five presentations per year on Use of Force, accepting personal responsibility for your own safety, handling media attention and other related topics. He has been widely interviewed and quoted by the local press on Use of Force and concealed carry issues. He has developed and written the current Use of Force policies for some of the Law Enforcement agencies in the State of Oklahoma.
